In this paper the algorithms for solving the p-median problem based on the Benders decomposition are investigated. A family of problems hard for solving with such algorithms is constructed and then generalized to a special NP-hard case of the p-median problem. It is shown that the effectiveness of the considered algorithms depends on the choice of the optimal values of the dual variables used in Benders cuts. A relationship is analyzed between the ionization energy of atoms I and the work function φ of a metal composed of these atoms. The transition energy ∑=I?φ is assumed to be the sum of kinetic K and coulombic C contributions. Contribution K is calculated in the framework of a model of uniform gas of quasi-free electrons, and C is determined from experimental values of Σ. Calculations performed for a wide range of metals have shown that the dimensionless coefficients determining the Coulombic contribution C differ insignificantly between various groups of metals. The order-disorder phase transition in vanadium monoxide of substoichiometric compositions VOy has been studied for the first time in situ by the Faraday method with a pendulum magnetic balance of the Domenically type. A minimum is found on the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of vanadium monoxide of different compositions at a temperature of about 700 K. X-ray diffraction analysis performed before and after measuring the magnetic susceptibility confirmed the change in the structure of vanadium monoxide and the possibility of atom-vacancy processes upon cooling and heating of the samples. 相似文献
